Time is running out if you want to get your hands on a computer running the Windows 7 operating system.
After 31st October 2014 Microsoft will stop providing licences for new machines running Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium which means that once existing stock in shops on online has run out, you will have no option but to buy Windows 8.1.
Windows 7 Professional will still be available but is intended more for business systems.
The end of support date (updates and fixes) for Windows 7 is set for the 14th January 2020.
If you’re running Vista, support will continue until April 11th 2017, so make a note to start thinking about upgrading soon.
